This one-of-a-kind cooking spoon was carved from a storm-fallen apple limb gathered in my local Needham neighborhood. The bowl features a dramatic contrast of heartwood and sapwood, and the handle carries a hand-cut chevron basket-weave kolrosing pattern—an old-world decorative technique that adds warmth, texture, and story to every piece.

Shaped for everyday cooking but crafted with heirloom intention, this spoon is equally at home stirring a pot of soup or resting on display as functional art.
