Custom Hand-Carved Wooden Spoons
Crafted one at a time.
Made to be used — and treasured forever.
What makes a custom spoon different
A custom spoon isn't about simply adding someone's name to an object.
It's about choosing a gift that carries intention — something meant to live in someone's hands and be woven into daily routines.
More than a utensil, a hand-carved spoon becomes a small, steady reminder of care, attention, and the thought behind creating and sharing something special.
Ways a custom spoon can take shape
Custom spoons take many forms — from simple, everyday tools to deeply personal gifts.
What they share is intention: each one is shaped around a person, a purpose, or a moment worth holding onto.
For the Kitchen
For Life's Milestones
For Meaningful Memories
For an Individual
A spoon shaped for how someone cooks — balanced, comfortable, and made to be reached for every day. A spoon that fits your favorite skillet and feels right in the hand. Sometimes the most meaningful gift is simply a better tool.
Wedding gifts, anniversaries, new homes, retirements — moments where something lasting feels more appropriate than something disposable, and where everyday use becomes part of the celebration long after the day has passed.
Quiet, understated pieces that honor a person, place, season, or special tree. Designed to carry meaning forward through use, rather than being set aside.
Left-handed spoons, adjusted handle thickness, or subtle changes that make a tool feel like it finally fits — because the best tools disappear in the hand.

If you’re not sure where your idea fits, that’s part of the process — most custom spoons begin with a conversation.
How the process works
A custom spoon doesn't begin with a form or a fixed design. It begins with an idea and a conversation — about who it's for, how it will be used, and what matters most. From there, the process unfolds simply and thoughtfully.
Throughout the process, communication stays simple and personal — you'll always know where things stand and what comes next.
You don't need to arrive with a finished plan. Some people come with a clear vision— others with only a feeling or an upcoming occasion in mind. Both are welcome!
Together, we'll refine the direction—shape, size, wood choice, and any personal details—until it feels settled and right. Nothing moves forward until the design feels aligned with your vision.
Once the details are set, I carve your spoon by hand from a single piece of fallen hardwood—shaping it slowly, letting the grain guide the final form, and adding the small touches that make it unmistakably yours.
After carving, the spoon is finished with food-safe oil and allowed to rest. Once you're completely satisfied and final payment is made, I carefully package and ship it—ready to be shared, used, and folded into everyday life.

Common Questions People Often Ask
Do I need to know exactly what I want?
Not at all. Many commissions begin with a feeling, a memory, or a person in mind. We can shape the details together.
How long does a custom spoon usually take?
Timing varies depending on the piece and my current schedule, but I'll always be clear about timing before any work begins. In most cases, spoons are ready to mail within 2 - 3 weeks.
Can the spoon be used, or is it only for display?
Every spoon is made to be used. If it ends up being treasured too, that's a bonus!
What does pricing look like?
Pricing depends on the size, details, and customization. I'll outline options and costs before carving so there are no surprises. Most custom spoons end up in the $50 - 100 range, depending on the details involved. Payment isn't due until you see and approve the finished spoon.
Next Steps if You're Interested in a Custom Spoon
Whether you have a clear idea or just a feeling you’d like to explore, the process starts with a conversation. You don’t need sketches or measurements — just a sense of who the spoon is for and how it might be used. From there, I’ll help shape the details and guide the next steps.
I typically respond within a day or two to continue the conversation!
If you’re not sure this is the right fit, that’s okay. Not every idea needs to become a spoon — and I’m always happy to offer guidance or let you know honestly what makes sense.
