12" Maple spurtle with kolrosing

This one-of-a-kind spurtle is hand-carved from found maple in Needham, Massachusetts and finished to highlight the natural shimmer of the wood. The handle features an intricate basket-weave kolrosing pattern—“scrimshaw for wood”—created entirely by hand through fine, hard etching and filled with warm cinnamon to bring the design to life.
