This one came from a maple that came down in my Needham, MA neighborhood—storm-fallen, locally gathered, and carved into something worth keeping. At 13", it's a proper working spoon: good for stirring, serving, and anything else that needs doing at the stove. The wood is baked to a warm golden brown, and the top-scalloped handle detail makes it comfortable to hold whenever you reach for it.
