This 13-inch cooking spoon is hand-carved from cherry, with warm color, lively grain, and subtle natural variation throughout the bowl and handle. The broad 2¾-inch bowl has a gently angled tip designed for right-handed cooking, making it especially useful for stirring, sautéing, scraping along the bottom of a pan, and serving.
The bowl is generous without feeling bulky, while the long, tapered handle provides comfortable reach and balance at the stove. Subtle carved facets remain visible in the wood, giving the spoon character while keeping the surface smooth and practical for everyday use.
Cherry is especially rewarding in the kitchen because its appearance continues to change. This spoon will gradually deepen from its current warm golden-red color to a richer reddish brown as it is exposed to light, oil, and regular use.
