13" Spalted Pear Cooking Spoon

Signature Series

$45.00

Carved by hand from storm-fallen Bradford pear, this 13-inch spoon has a wide, generous bowl with a graceful swoop that makes it feel both practical and special. It is built for everyday cooking and serving, but the wood gives it the kind of character that makes you want to leave it out on the counter.

The bowl shows off a beautiful two-tone contrast, with pale sapwood running alongside warmer pink, amber, and honey-colored heartwood. Early spalting adds extra movement and character throughout the piece, creating natural markings that could never be repeated. It is one of those pieces where the tree did a lot of the design work.

The handle is slim, comfortable, and balanced, with a hand-kolrosed grass stalk detail near the end. It is a small, quiet embellishment that adds just enough decoration without taking attention away from the wood itself.

Finished smooth to the touch with food-safe oil, this spoon is made to be used often, washed by hand, and enjoyed for years.
