Apple Spurtle — Wheat Kolrosing
Signature Series (Storm Drop - Log No. 2)
$35.00
Out of stock
Hand-carved from a storm-fallen apple limb gathered here in Needham MA, this spurtle blends function, tradition, and a touch of warmth from the tree it came from. Apple wood’s natural density makes it a joy to carve—and a joy to use—while its subtle color shifts and shimmering grain give this piece a quiet elegance.
The handle features a hand-cut kolrosing motif of a wheat head, a nod to the slow craft of sourdough baking and the ritual of working with your hands. Each line is fine-cut and pigmented by hand, adding a layer of depth that will gently enrich with use.
Slim, strong, and beautifully balanced, this 12" spurtle is made for sourdough—mixing, stirring, folding, and scraping dough without overworking it. A functional piece of art from a single New England tree.
