Maple Right-Handed Scraper Spoon
Signature Series
$40.00
Carved by hand from maple, this 12-inch cooking spoon is built for real kitchen work — stirring, scraping, sautéing, and reaching into the corners of a pan.
The 2½-inch bowl has a right-handed angled tip, which makes it especially useful for scraping along the bottom edge of a pot or skillet. It has the feel of a spoon, but with a little extra utility where you need it most — great for sauces, onions, eggs, risotto, oatmeal, or anything that likes to stick.
The bowl shows a touch of spalting, adding a few soft gray lines and natural character to the pale maple. The handle was left with a rough-sawn texture, giving it a good grip and a slightly rustic feel in the hand.
Along the handle, I added a small “grass stalk” design using a traditional kolrosing technique. The lines are cut by hand and filled with cinnamon, creating a quiet, earthy detail that fits naturally with the wood.
A simple, useful maple spoon with just enough character to make it one-of-a-kind.
