Some spoon shapes just earn their place in the kitchen. This 12-inch Signature Series spoon is hand-carved from maple in my flat-tipped design—a customer favorite for its combination of a generous bowl, comfortable reach, and squared-off edge that gets into the corners of pots and pans.
The maple has been baked to deepen its natural color, giving the wood a warm honey-brown tone and bringing out subtle variations in the grain. The 2-1/2-inch bowl works well for stirring, sautéing, folding ingredients together, scraping along the bottom of a pan, and serving straight from the pot.
Three hand-carved geometric sunbursts run along the lower handle, adding a small but distinctive detail without getting in the way of everyday use. Like the spoon itself, the decoration is simple, functional, and made entirely by hand.
It’s an everyday cooking spoon with just enough extra character to make it unmistakably one of a kind.
