This spoon is carved from maple. It has a light, creamy color and a simple look that lets the shape speak for itself. What really sets it apart is the bark left on the handle — you can definitely tell it came from a tree, which is part of the point.
The bark-on handle gives it a little more texture and personality without changing the function. The bowl and neck are smooth and clean, while the handle keeps that rough natural strip intact. It feels straightforward and handmade, not overly refined.
At 11 inches long with a 2½-inch-wide bowl, this is a useful serving spoon with a flat tip that makes it especially good for scraping. It works well for serving, but it is also handy for getting into the corners of a pan or bowl and pulling food up cleanly. Simple shape, good reach, and easy to use.
