Walnut Heart Cooking Spoon

Signature Series

$45.00

When a walnut limb came down during an October 2026 storm, it left behind some remarkable wood. Rather than let it go to waste, I carved this 13" cooking spoon to showcase the natural contrast between the walnut's rich, dark heartwood and creamy sapwood.

The real standout is the generous, 3" rounded bowl, where a dramatic patch of chocolate-brown heartwood sits surrounded by lighter, golden wood. It's a striking natural pattern, with no stains or dyes needed. The contrast continues along the handle, giving this spoon plenty of character from end to end.

With its deep, rounded bowl and smooth, comfortable handle, this spoon is built for stirring, scooping, and serving. A beautiful piece of storm-fallen wood given a second life as a hardworking kitchen companion.
