That’s what Log No. 3 is about. Hand-carved from a storm-fallen neighborhood crabapple tree, each piece is made in my shop to bring warmth, authenticity, and everyday beauty to your kitchen or to someone you care about.

Because meaningful things are rare, this is a small one-time drop. When these pieces are gone, they’re gone.

Signature Series

The Signature Series highlights my most expressive, detail-driven work—pieces where the wood’s natural character and hand-carved embellishments take center stage. These spoons often feature kolrosing, complex patterns, or unique grain and coloring that make each one unmistakably one-of-a-kind. The Tree Ring Print Collection transforms the hidden story inside each salvaged tree into timeless wall art. Created from the actual cross sections of storm-fallen logs used in my spoon carving, these prints reveal the growth rings, cracks, and natural patterns that took decades to form.

Each print is hand-pulled individually, making every impression unique in tone, texture, and character. Signed, numbered, and labeled by hand, these prints are true originals—honest works of art that celebrate resilience, renewal, and the beauty found in nature’s imperfections. Crafted with intention and rooted in place, they bring warmth, authenticity, and a deeper connection to the handmade world.

The Premium Collection represents Spoonweather at its most deliberate — heirloom pieces shaped slowly and without compromise, from blank to finished edge. Each begins with exceptional wood selected for its figure, grain, or story, then proceeds through intricate carving, inlay work, custom lettering, and other labor-intensive details that can't be hurried. These are pieces made to outlast the kitchen they start in — handed off worn, loved, and better for the years.

What are Storm Drops?

Storm Drops are small, limited releases of pieces carved from a single downed limb or log — usually something I find after a big storm or trimming season here in Needham, MA. Each drop comes from one specific tree, gathered on one specific day, and turned into a handful of one-of-a-kind pieces — each with its own story. Once the wood from that log is gone, that drop is complete forever.
